answer
Training plans
Twelve weeks to race day, sprint or head distance. One sheet, colour-coded by intensity zone, built to be printed and pinned up.
Strength
Maximum strength and the masters circuit – fourteen illustrated stations with a load rule instead of fixed kilograms.
Race day
The activation routine, the sixteen-minute warm-up, the fuelling rule, the warm-down, and the five supplements with doses per kilogram.
Testing
The full lactate step-test protocol, plus heart-rate zone and aerobic power spreadsheets that calculate as you type.
Fuelling
What I eat before a race and why the timing matters more than the ingredients.
Everything new
Any plan, protocol or tool I release during your membership year lands in the library at no extra cost.
Everything is a single-page A4 sheet or a spreadsheet. Nothing is a video course. Nothing needs an app.
“I stopped second-guessing my training and simply followed the plan. The result was my strongest racing season in more than a decade. The structure, progression, and taper gave me complete confidence heading into race day.”
John M. · Massachusetts, USA“As a busy Masters athlete balancing work and family, I needed a plan that made every session count. Bill’s programme removed the guesswork and helped me arrive at Nationals feeling fit, fresh, and ready to race.”
Sarah P. · California, USA“I’ve worked with coaches throughout my rowing career, but these plans are among the clearest and most practical I’ve used. The progression was logical, the training manageable, and the race preparation exceptional.”
Sean M. · England“The biggest benefit wasn’t just improved fitness — it was confidence. I knew exactly what I should be doing each day and trusted the process. I achieved some of my best Masters results following the plan.”
Mark R.“The balance between rowing, strength training, recovery, and race preparation was excellent. The taper worked perfectly, and I felt both physically and mentally ready when it mattered most.”
Thomas B. · Zürich, SwitzerlandIf you already have a coach writing your programme, you do not need this. If you want someone to tell you that training more is the answer, you will be disappointed – most of what is in here is about doing less of the wrong work. And if you are under 35, the recovery structure is built for people who are not, and you would be better served elsewhere.
- What happens straight after I pay?
- You get access to the member library – every document, downloadable immediately. Nothing is drip-fed.
- Does it renew automatically?
- Yes, annually, and you can cancel from your account at any time. I will email you before it renews rather than hoping you have forgotten.
- Which plan do I need?
- Sprint if your race is 3 to 5 minutes. Head if it is 20 to 45. Membership includes both, so you do not have to decide now.
- I already bought a plan. Is there any point joining?
- Your plan is yours and it keeps working. Membership adds the other distance, the whole library of protocols and calculators, the members-only articles, and everything I release over the following year. Most people who start with one plan join before their next season.
- Is any of this sponsored?
- No. No advertising, no affiliate links, no equipment deals. If I say something works, it is because it worked.
Both plans, the full library, the premium articles, and everything I release over the next twelve months.
Not ready? Take one of the protocol sheets for free and see whether the work looks like something you would use.
